Hamanako Garden Park

Right in front of Hamana lake, there's a big park called Hamanako Garden Park. This park is very popular among local and domestic tourists. Not only the entrance fee is free, but there are many things to do and enjoy in the park.

This park is perfect for picnicking, playing with children, or just walking around. In the summer, they used to turn on the water fountain and fill up a small pond for kids to play with water. But for the last couple of years, the waterpark was canceled due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

You can take a short boat cruise along the canal to the flower museum, or take a train to the observation deck (Train only runs on weekends and during high season). There are also family bicycles to rent for 1000yen an hour, up to 4 people can ride it, a great activity for the whole family to enjoy.

From the observation tower, you can see the beautiful scenery of Garden park and Hamana lake.

As the name suggests, at the Garden Park you can see many varieties of plant species and beautiful flowers. Elegant International gardens from all over the world like Asia, Africa, and Europe.

At the Flower Museum in Garden Park, there are various flowers exhibited, such as roses, water lilies, big yellow hypericum flowers, an Australian native plant called Manuka, Grevillea, and red bottlebrush flower because its shape like a bottle brush, and many other plants/flower species that I have never seen before.

I recommend you to visit Garden Park, a nice place for anyone to enjoy, whether you're with family, friends, or even alone. For more information, please check iNHamamatsu website https://www.inhamamatsu.com/activity/garden-park.php .
