Hello!
"Udon" is easy to eat, whether you have a low appetite or really want to eat it. It seems that udon has been popular as a lucky charm for a long time because it is thick, long, and pure white. I heard that "Udon" has been added to the menu as shōjin (devotion) food at Okuyama Houkouji, a popular temple in the local area I went to!
Okuyama Houkouji Temple is about 50 minutes by car from Hamamatsu city. Located in Inasa-cho, Kita-ku, Hamamatsu City, it is known to be useful mainly for extinguishing fires, preventing water damage, and fulfilling wishes.
There is a famous Hanzobo Fire Festival, which is walking barefoot on the fire, held every February.
The shōjin cuisine that you can enjoy here is very delicious, and the eel of "Unagi Modoki" made from yam, lotus root, and tofu is very healthy and popular.
The "mushroom udon" that I ate this time is a new menu that started in early summer last year and is a style of udon that you can add to a soy sauce-based soup stock that contains mushrooms. Despite its chewy texture, it has a soft and gentle taste.
You do not need to make an advance reservation for udon, you will be guided after applying at the reception. Please come and visit when you have plenty of time.
