Horidemae Central Park (Tobikko ship playground)

When you have very active small children, sometimes it's difficult to take them to visit places like museums, castles or temples. In places where the atmosphere is peaceful and quiet. They get bored easily.

Why not take them to Horidemae Central Park, it is located right in front of Hamamatsu Nishi ward city hall. The parking lot open from 8:30AM-7PM (until 5PM in October-March), is big enough to fit 103 cars.

The park is suitable for babies 0 to 2 years old, toddlers 3 to 5 years old, and elementary school students 6 years old and over. Each equipment in the playground has age ranges.

Even the swings are designed to protect toddlers from falling.
This is also a great place for elementary school children to play soccer and catching balls with their dads.

On the big boat that resembles a pirate ship, there are various ways to play. There is a long slide on the side. This ship is designed for children over elementary school age, so infants should be accompanied by an adult. Yes, adults can go on the long slide too.

On the other side of the park, there is a deck for you to observe wild birds.
Small pavilions are scattered around the park, many families would bring lunch boxes and drinks from home or buy in the supermarket and convenience stores nearby and eat them at pavilions. You can also bring your own mat and have a picnic with family and friends.
However, there is no trash can in the park, so you need to take the trash home with you.
As the park located on the west side of Hamamatsu, the sunset view overlooking Hamana lake is so beautiful.
