I'm from Hamamatsu, but I'm not a fan of the streets of Hamamatsu. I'm from Hamamatsu, but I'm not a fan of the city of Hamamatsu. This is because the center of Hamamatsu City was hit by air raids during World War II, and the townscape seems to be no different from other cities to me due to the development during the period of high economic growth. However, the scenery of the Tenryu region, the south beach, and the shore of Lake Hamana in the west is also wonderful. When you come to Hamamatsu, I would like you to visit the suburbs.
Well, today I would like to introduce a very local hidden spot. There is Lake Hamana in Hamamatsu, and it goes without saying that you can enjoy it throughout the four seasons. However, Lake Sanaru in Nishi Ward, which is about 6km around, is also a place for local relaxation. Even on weekdays, various people come and go from morning till late at night, from children with insect nets to elderly people walking. On weekends, it's full of families and people who enjoy running.
This time, I will introduce the trekking course of Lake Sanaru.
These trekking courses are scattered on the west bank, and when you pass through the forest, you can go out to the residential area and return to the park. The area around the lake is maintained as a city park, and the plants are not ancient, but nature remains on this trekking course. Of course, the minimum maintenance is done by local volunteers and park managers so that people can pass through.
There is also Mt. Negawa, the lowest mountain in Shizuoka prefecture. In fact, there is also a chance to meet the precious nature, such as Asagimadara (Parantica sita niphonica). Although it is a very short course, how about Lake Sanaru trekking where you can enjoy a little exercise and nature?
