"Hamamatsu Hariko" Sakekai-daruma (浜松張子 酒買いダルマ)

One of the long-awaited Hamamatsu Hariko's popular items, Sakekai-daruma (buying-sake Daruma), has arrived, and there are 6 kinds of belongings such as red snapper, bonito and sake bottle in a red and white body.

A Daruma doll is a hollow, round, Japanese traditional doll modeled after Bodhidharma, the founder of the Zen tradition of Buddhism. These dolls, though typically red and depicting a bearded man (Bodhidharma), vary greatly in color and Design depending on region and artist. Though considered a toy by some, Daruma has a design that is rich in symbolism and is regarded more as a talisman of good luck to the Japanese. Daruma dolls are seen as a symbol of perseverance and good luck, making them a popular gift of encouragement. The doll has also been commercialized by many Buddhist temples to use alongside the setting of goals. *Quoted by Wikipedia

Following the legend that Daruma continued to meditation toward the wall and rotted his limbs, he usually has no limbs and a large face. It is interesting that this Sakekai Daruma has limbs and is too drunk to stand by itself.

Two types have already been sold at the same time as the sale, but the other four Darumas with different handmade faces are waiting for you. I definitely want customers from overseas to take this home with me!
