The Blooming of Cherry Trees in Hamamatsu

Sakura is fully blooming in Hamamatsu, now is the best time to enjoy it.

After a rainy weekend, today I could finally go out and enjoy sakura.
One of the best spots in Hamamatsu which is also a walking distance from Hamamatsu station is The Hamamatsu Castle. A short 20 minutes walk, which is roughly 1.5km distance from Hamamatsu station.

There are approx. 330 cherry trees that visitors can view.

At the entrance of the Castle area, there is a big field where visitors can enjoy a picnic or light exercise light walking, running badminton, and many more.

Don't worry if you come empty-handed, there are many food trucks at Castle park.

If you come by car and visiting less than 90 minutes, the parking is free, after 90 minutes it will be 100 yen/30 minutes (OPEN 8:30am-9:30pm).

The cherry blossom festival is held until April 9, with bonbori (paper lanterns) and lights illuminating the park until around 9:00 p.m.
