Sunset in Hamana lake is so beautiful. Especially because it's located in Nishi-Ku, the west part of Hamamatsu.
The combination view of sunset and lake is mesmerizing. There are several people with DSLR cameras hunting photos of the sunset.
There are also people fishing by the lake. Lake Hamana (Hamanako) is a brackish lake, where freshwater and seawater mix, it has a rich variety of fish.
Lake Hamana is recommended for the cycling route. Lake Hamana Cycling Road is a cycling trail that was laid out an almost full circle around the lake.
Kids would swim in the lake during the summer holiday or look for asari (small clams).
This spot is very close to Hamanako Garden Park. You can even see Hamanako Garden Park's observation tower. It's a designated free parking area on the side of Hamanako bridge.
